CheckMateFest! Awards are presented annually to PLAYERS and SCHOOLS.
~ PLAYERS ~
Must participate in a minimum of 2 out of 4 CheckMateFest! tournaments:
FALL - WINTER - SPRING - FINALS
- TROPHIES: Top-5 players (Kids & Teens) in annual standings.
- GOLD MEDALS: Rank 6 - 15 players (Kids & Teens) in annual standings.
- SILVER MEDALS: Rank 16-30 players (Kids & Teens) in annual standings.
- BRONZE MEDALS: ALL players (Kids & Teens) who complete 2 CheckMateFest! tournaments during the school year.
~ SCHOOLS ~
Each school may participate with an unlimited number of players. The sum of the top-4 point earning players from each school result in the total points for their team at each CheckMateFest!
The schools (Primary & High School) with the most cumulative points from the 4 CheckMateFest! Tournaments annually will be awarded the CHECKMATEFEST CUP. The runners-up will also be engraved on the CUP.
Each year, a presentation will occur at the schools that won the CUP. These schools are the following: (with their names engraved on the CUP).
- CHECKMATEFEST! CUP - BEST PRIMARY SCHOOL (CHAMPIONS)
- 2nd PLACE PRIMARY SCHOOL (Runner-Up)
- CHECKMATEFEST! CUP - BEST HIGH SCHOOL (CHAMPIONS)
- 2nd PLACE HIGH SCHOOL (Runner-Up)
